New York, New York

Client: Weidlinger Associates, Inc. Owner Name: Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

MP Engineers provided inspection services for 14 New York approach ramps consisting of one to 33 spans each, approximately 70 spans in total. Included in the biennial inspection were inspections of 17 retaining walls also owned by PANYNJ. Prior to inspection, an MP engineer attended a walk-through of the project locations and kickoff meeting. Inspection reports, priority repair memos and drawings were prepared as required. MP Engineers also facilitated the use of bucket truck during each shift. All bridge inspections were performed in accordance with PANYNJ standards.

Upon completion of field inspections and evaluations of the structure’s condition, a Condition Survey Report was prepared, which encompassed detailed description of the condition of the existing structures. Clear, color, dated digital photographs of priority repairs, safety repairs and significant findings were referenced in the report. The project was coordinated with PANYNJ’s Project Manager, field inspection activities were coordinated with the facility personnel, and the outside Contractor’s personnel during the performance of the inspection. Two reports were submitted to their own respective agency; one for NYSDOT and one for PANYNJ. All work was performed within the project schedule.
